How do you stay focused during a long match?

Be as fit and well hydrated as you can before a match. It keeps your capacity both physically and mentally as high as possible. During the match, stay calm between points, and take deep breaths to recover. During the point, focus on watching the ball. All tennis decisions come from watching the ball, all the time. We are human so some crazy things pop into our heads at weird times.
For example, “I better not double fault.” This is normal at all levels. Catch those thoughts and bring your attention to being deliberate and positive. And remember if you are tired so is your opponent. Don’t show it.
