Outdoor Pool Opens May 30, 2026

A large, 23m x 10.5m pool in a beautiful setting by the Rideau River. Secluded, surrounded with greenery and cabanas, the pool offers a peaceful oasis in the city. Constructed in 1960 and recently rehabilitated, the pool is perfect for a dip after a vigorous game of tennis or to spend the day with family. For Pool Members – those who do not play tennis – it provides an alternative way to enjoy the club amenities.

Access to the pool is included in our Tennis and Pool Memberships. If you would like to improve your skills, lessons and programs are available for juniors and adults, and trained lifeguards are ALWAYS on duty to protect swimmers and to manage health and safety. Pool toys and junior lifejackets are available.

  • Open to Members and Non-Members!

    The Ottawa Tennis Club offers 30-minuteprivate swim lessons for those aged 3 and up. Each lesson is catered to the individual level of the student. Each lesson has a 10 minute gap between them to allow for parent communication and cross over.

    Lessons can be purchased as a Package of 4. Running on consecutive Tuesday/Thursdays, Monday/Wednesdays or Saturday/Sundays. If a date does not work in the package please let us know and we will try and accommodate. Lesson Package of 4 are $140 members, $180 non-members.

    We also offer semi-private lessons (two children to one instructor). If you want to do this option please register for a normal package of 4 and then email info@ottawatennisclub.ca with the name of the addition child. The cost per child for this will be $90 member and $110 non-member. The difference in fee will be added to your account.

    Prior to the first lesson you will be emailed a questionnaire. Please complete this so that we may tailor your lessons accordingly and will maximise the water time on the first lesson.

    Swim lessons run rain or shine. In the event the Ottawa Tennis Club cancels a lesson due to extreme inclement weather, a rain date will be provided.

  • The Jets and Sharks are back and ready to make an even bigger splash at OTC in 2025! This fast-paced program is designed to help swimmers improve their strokes, flip turns, dives and speed. At the end of each season, swimmers will have a chance to race and show off all their new skills at our swim meet. Participants must be able to pass the OTC swim test and be able to swim two lengths of the pool using a competent stroke. Each session has 45 minutes of water time.

    Sharks (age 6-9) run on Wednesdays (age 6.15-7.00pm) and Sundays (9.00-9.45am)

    Jets (age 10-12) run on Wednesdays (7.00 to 7.45pm) and Sundays (8.00 to 8.45pm)

    Sold in month blocks (July and August) capacity of 8 swimmers, $185 members and $235 for non members.

  • A full-body workout that offers a blend of cardio, muscular strength, and endurance. This program is upbeat but has simple choreography and options to modify the intensity. Aquafit helps with muscle relaxation, stretching, and range of motion. This program is a great way to be in tune with your body and achieve a workout out in the sun.

Additional Information

  • Should a swimming lesson be cancelled due to thunder and/or lightning, a make-up class will be scheduled. If no make-up class is possible (such as end of the season), a pro-rated credit will be placed on your account.


  • Programs, Clinics, and Swim lessons must be cancelled 7 days prior to the start of the class, to qualify for a Refund (minus a $40 admin fee) or a Full Credit.

    • If a program or clinic is cancelled by the Ottawa Tennis club prior to the start of the session, a full refund will be provided.
