Our Adult Tennis Programs offer a variety of ways to play, improve, and connect on court. From social Round Robins and competitive Tennis Ladders to skill-building Adult Clinics and special events, there’s something for every level and playing style.

Looking to level up your game? Noble Tennis School (NTS) delivers dynamic Train & Play sessions that blend skill development with real match experience. Players sharpen their technique, learn strategy, and immediately put it into action on court — creating the perfect balance of learning, competing, and having fun in a supportive environment.

  • Round Robins run on a weekly sign-up basis and are open to players of all levels, offering a great way to enjoy organized tennis all season long. During each session, players rotate every 20-30minutes, ensuring everyone gets the chance to play with and against different members. While the exact format may vary by volunteer organizer, Round Robins are a fantastic way to meet other members, improve your game, and find playing partners!

    Weekly Sign-Up opens 5 days in advance at 7:00AM. (For example, Registration for Thursday RR opens on Saturdays at 7AM)

      • $5 per session, With OTC Assistant Pro Maggie Parker

      • A fun, introductory session for players looking to learn the round robin format while gaining match experience. This program will help build confidence and familiarity, with the goal of transitioning into a free beginner round robin.

    OTC Ladders offer a great way for members of all skill levels to meet other players, enjoy friendly competition, and improve their game. Players are grouped into boxes of 4-5 participants with similar playing abilities, with THREE weeks to complete matches against each opponent. Based on match results, players will move up/down/stay in their current box for the next round. Points are earned for participation as well as for winning. 

    Late entries will be accepted during the first week of each round IF there is space to accommodate them. Entries during the last two weeks will start in the following round.

  • OTC run Club tournaments for their members. In June it is the Mixed Doubles, and then in September it is the Mens and Womens Singles and Doubles.

    Learn and build your tennis game. This clinic focuses on the basic rules, scoring, and the five essential strokes: forehand, backhand, serve, volley, and overhead. Players are group by rating so you can continue advancing with others at a similar stage. As your technique, consistency, and understanding develop, our OTC Tennis Pros will help determine when its time to move to the next clinic level. Ideal for those new to tennis, returning after a break, or looking to strengthen their foundational skills. (4 players per court).

    • Back To Tennis: Adult Restart Workshop with Mykell Reifer

        Whether you’re coming back after a long break or starting tennis later in life, it can be challenging to regain speed, coordination, and confidence on the court. This on-court workshop is designed specifically for adult players who want to restart their tennis journey safely, efficiently, and enjoyably.

        You’ll learn how to:

        • Rebuild foundational movement and footwork for tennis

        • Develop stroke mechanics at a comfortable, sustainable pace

        • Prevent common injuries through targeted warm-ups and mobility exercises

        • Play confidently in rallies and match situations

        • Ease back into competitive and social play without stress

        Through gentle, guided drills and live-ball practice, this session helps you rediscover your game, regain confidence, and enjoy tennis again — no matter your age or time away from the court.

        Doubles tennis is as much about teamwork as it is about hitting great shots. This on-court workshop teaches adult players how to communicate effectively, cover the court efficiently, and make smart decisions with a partner — so both of you can play at your best.

        You’ll learn how to:

        • Coordinate movements with your partner for better court coverage

        • Communicate clearly and positively during matches

        • Understand positioning strategies for both serving and returning

        • Anticipate opponents’ patterns and react as a team

        • Make split-second decisions that keep your team in control

        Through drills, live-ball exercises, and point play, you’ll practice real doubles scenarios that build awareness, chemistry, and confidence. Whether you’re a casual partner or part of a competitive league, or social round-robin, this session will give you the tools to play smarter, move better together, and enjoy doubles tennis more than ever.

        Tournament and league play can feel intimidating — long matches, tough opponents, pressure moments, and emotional ups and downs. This on-court workshop is designed to give adult players a clear roadmap for preparing, competing, and recovering so match play feels energizing instead of overwhelming.

        You’ll learn how to:

        • Prepare in the days leading up to competition (physically and mentally)

        • Create a simple game plan before stepping on court

        • Manage nerves and momentum during matches

        • Reset after tough points and stay composed

        • Reflect and improve after competition without being overly critical

        Through match-based scenarios and guided point play, we’ll simulate real tournament situations so you can practice routines, decision-making, and emotional control in a supportive environment.

        If you’ve ever left a match feeling frustrated or unsure what to change, this workshop will give you structure, confidence, and tools to compete smarter — and walk off court proud of how you handled yourself, win or lose.

    • Mind over Match: The Mental Game of Tennis with Mykell Reifer

      • Friday September 11 6:00pm to 7:00pm

      • Play sharper. Stay composed. Take control of your mind on the court.

        Tennis is as much mental as it is physical, and for adult players, the difference between winning and losing often comes down to confidence, focus, and the ability to manage momentum. This on-court workshop teaches practical strategies to strengthen your mental game so you can stay calm under pressure, make better decisions, and enjoy competition more fully.

        You’ll learn how to:

        • Build confidence point by point, match by match

        • Maintain focus and avoid distractions during rallies

        • Recover quickly after errors or tough points

        • Harness momentum to your advantage

        • Develop pre-serve and between-point routines that keep you in control

        Through guided drills and match simulations, you’ll practice applying these mental strategies in real tennis situations, so you show up to the court not just physically prepared, but mentally ready to perform your best.

    Start your morning off right! This early morning Train & Play program combines targeted practice and immediate use of the new skills in both singles and doubles play. Every class combines targeted training activities and immediate application of the new skills in open play!

    Led by NTS Director Carlo Zambri. This program is not NTRP Level specific, however some prior experience with the game is required, including basic rules and scoring system.

Our club offers a variety of additional programs beyond tennis, including Bridge classes, First Aid training and more. These programs are a great way to meet others, challenge yourself, and expand your skills all in a welcoming environment!"

  • Beginner Bridge Drop-In Lessons

    • Wednesdays, 9:30AM to 11:30AM

    • $20 (Incl. HST) per game

    For those who have just completed the Beginner Bridge Lesson (8-week program)

    Beginner /Intermediate Drop-In Lessons

    • Wednesdays, 1:00PM to 3:00PM

    • $20 (Incl. HST) per game

    Includes a complete lesson and hand outs! Players must have taken the Beginners Bridge lesson, or have a basic knowledge of the game. Currently taking place in our Wellness room.

    For Players who play the Yellow Card or Stayman & Transfers. Includes a 15 minute talk on one subject and hand outs. Currently taking place in our Wellness room.

Additional Information

  • Due to the nature of clay tennis courts, they are not playable when there is excessive standing water. Should your Program, Clinic or Lesson be rained out, you will be contacted via your pro and or the OTC and rebooked for another convenient time.

    ​If no make-up session is possible (such as end of the season), a pro-rated credit will be placed on your account.

    • Memberships, including special assessments and capital fund fees are non-refundable. A credit may be considered if supported with medical documentation. Must be submitted withing one month of ceasing activity.

    • ProgramsClinics, and Swim lessons must be cancelled 7 days prior to the start of the class, to qualify for a Refund (minus a $40 admin fee) or a Full Credit.

      • If a program or clinic is cancelled by the Ottawa Tennis club prior to the start of the session, a full refund will be provided.

    • ​Private and Group lessons must be cancelled 48 hours prior to the start of the lesson. If a lesson is canceled less than 48 hours, the full lesson cost will be charged to the account.​
