Where Competition Meets Community
Each season, our club proudly hosts high-level external tournaments that bring top talent from across the region and beyond. The Bloomex Cup (U12–U18) showcases the next generation of competitive players, while the Steve Stevens Masters Tennis tournament highlights experienced athletes competing at an elite level. These events reinforce our commitment to excellence, community engagement, and the growth of competitive tennis.

OTC will be hosting the ITF Beach Tennis Tournament. Be sure to stop by and check out Dan Vila from 613BT as he plays in this tournament. OTC, with 613BT, offers Beach Tennis Match Play and Clinics from May to September. Check out all out Adult Programs, including Beach Tennis Options HERE!

Categorized as a 4-star tournament, The Bloomex Cup provides a meaningful competitive opportunity for U12 to U18 athletes leading up to the Junior Nationals, and an additional opportunity to gain direct entry into the Junior Nationals main draw.

Organized and run by Tennis Canada, the 2026 Steve Stevens Masters Tennis Championships will be hosted across several Ottawa clubs, including the OTC. Formerly known as Canada’s Annual Outdoor National Tournament, it was renamed in 2010 to honour Steve Stevens, who transformed Masters tennis in Canada. His unmatched passion for the sport helped build Canada into a leading home for top Masters players.

Our Members-Only Tournaments are a cornerstone of club life. Designed for players of all levels, these events offer a fun and supportive way to sharpen your skills, meet fellow members, and enjoy friendly competition. Whether you're stepping onto the court to challenge yourself or simply looking to get more match play, our in-house tournaments bring the community together through sport.

Mixed doubles will take place in June - registration will open May 2.
Doubles and Singles (Men and Women) will be help in September. Thanks to our volunteer team to running these tournaments.

$20 +HST per person (singles or doubles). $25 +HST per person for WOMENS DOUBLES. Balls are provided.
Players must indiate their playing level according to the Tennis Canada Self Rating Guide (English / French)
This assists the Volunteer coordinator to place you in the appropriate category, INTERMEDIATE or CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP
Schedule
Inital rounds are played on Courts 13-18 (Back Courts).
Semi-final and final matches are played on Courts 10-12 (Front Courts)
Players are responsible for calls on their side of the net, and the opposing player/team must accept their decision. If there is any doubt, normal etiquette is to give the opponent the benefit of the doubt. Players should avoid replaying a point, though this is an option if both sides agree.

ALL MATCHES UP TO THE SEMIS
Two regular sets with AD scoring, regular 7 point tie breaker at 6 all for each set. If the first two sets are split, a deciding 10 point super tie breaker is played that determines the winner.SEMIS AND FINAL
Best of three regular sets, AD scoring. At 6 all in any set, a regular 7 point tie breaker is played"AD scoring” refers to the system used to determine the winner of a game when the score reaches deuce (40-40), requiring players to win two consecutive points to secure the game.
"Super tie breaker": the winner is the first to reach 10 points, winning by 2 points. -

Due to the nature of clay tennis courts, they are not playable when there is excessive standing water. Should your Program, Clinic or Lesson be rained out, you will be contacted via your pro and or the OTC and rebooked for another convenient time.
If no make-up session is possible (such as end of the season), a pro-rated credit will be placed on your account.

Memberships, including special assessments and capital fund fees are non-refundable. A credit may be considered if supported with medical documentation. Must be submitted withing one month of ceasing activity.
Programs, Clinics, and Swim lessons must be cancelled 7 days prior to the start of the class, to qualify for a Refund (minus a $40 admin fee) or a Full Credit.
If a program or clinic is cancelled by the Ottawa Tennis club prior to the start of the session, a full refund will be provided.
Private and Group lessons must be cancelled 48 hours prior to the start of the lesson. If a lesson is canceled less than 48 hours, the full lesson cost will be charged to the account.

Should a swimming lesson be cancelled due to thunder and/or lightning, a make-up class will be scheduled. If no make-up class is possible (such as end of the season), a pro-rated credit will be placed on your account.
All Cancellation and Refund request must be in written form and sent to info@ottawatennisclub.ca. Refunds are issued to the same method of payment, if possible.
